There is a lot (and I do mean a lot) of debate on which is more effective. Do you want to focus on Dex or Str? Dex builds have higher Defense (and thus are harder to hit) while Str builds do more damage. So if you're going guardian then there is one last choice to be made. CON isn't too important as you'll have the lowest health pool anyway, so may as well focus on just ending the fights quicker. Since lightsabers take DEX as their chance to hit modifier, you won't hit hard physically, but with a well built saber, you won't be defenseless if you run out of force points. WIS improves force potency and CHA reduces force cost when using opposite aligned powers. Basically these stats max out survivability and force power on a consular, with some INT if you really want a certain skill to be high, but that's still better left to a sentinel. DEX increases chance to hit with lightsabers in kotor 1.Ĭonsular: The Mage. You'll want INT high as sentinel gets the most skills, and try to get CHA higher than WIS as sentinels get CC immunity against force powers at higher levels so being able to cast a lot of support spells with less force power using high CHA and then just building your lightsaber for crit and cc is a good solid sentinel for sure. INT is useless on anyone planning to go guardian because you won't be focusing on skills for your main other than Treat Injury at that point. The last 3 are least important to this class but WIS and CHA can help with modifiers to rolls against force powers or using some odd force powers here and there, but you'll mainly be the tanky melee dude. Make sure to have at least 10 in everything as a baseline, as negative modifiers that are avoidable should be avoided, let the enemies cripple you, don't do it to yourself.
